How the Ring Toss Minigame Works in Coral Island
So the ring toss game is just what you imagine, a game where you throw rings at skulls to score the points they hold.
The bar at the bottom is confusing, but basically, the bar on the right (and the biggest one) is a power indicator and just represents how far the arrow goes that initiates your shot.
It also determines how far your shot goes, and once you hit it, there's no going back.
Now that the distance is determined, you choose the angle of the throw. The bar on the left and also the smallest represents the angle at which you shoot.
There's some weird stuff going on with that bar, but the idea is that if you hit the yellow bar inside the left bar, it sinks your shot straight ahead.
There is only one specific circumstance where you don't want to hit inside that yellow bar, but I'll explain later.
The last and most important piece of information I didn't know is that you can move left and right. I will let you know further whether it is recommended to move or not.
Extra Tips for Best Shots
Now that you understand how to shoot, I'll explain how to land certain shots. Know that you have to sink to the last for perfect points.
There are 3 30-point skulls which I will describe as the farthest, left and right. There is one 20-point skull that I'll just call middle and 2 10-point skulls that I'll call left and ensign.
Skull tips, in the order I recommend embedding these shots. This is the precedent for how I will describe the skulls. [Name, is based on placement relative to other skulls with their value] – [points] – [Description]
The furthest one - 30 points - I recommend going for it first as it's the easiest to hit in my opinion. Do not move your character left or right. Increase your power until you (distance arrow) are behind the skull. Then, when diving the shot, make sure you hit as close to the right of the yellow bar as possible, either on the black edge of the yellow bar or slightly to the right.
Medium - 20 points - I recommend it next. Push your power until your distance arrow is between left (skull 30 points) and right (second skull 30 points). It should land slightly behind Mid (this 20-point skull) and from there just hit the yellow bar or hit slightly to the right INSIDE the yellow bar.
Middy - 10 points - Learners shot and can be performed at any time. Push your power until your distance arrow is slightly behind him. Just hit as close to the center of the yellow bar as possible and it should be an easy shot.
These are highly recommended for moving the player character.
Lefty - 10 points - Line up your character until you believe you are right in front of them. Don't forget to aim just a bit past it and hit the yellow bar as close to the center as possible.
Left - 30 points - Same as above. Not much to say.
Right - 30 points - Align your character until you believe you are right in front of them. Repeat the steps above.
